Each table is assembled using the ancient technique of zelije tilework, an Islamic geometric art passed down from the time of Al-Andalus from masters to apprentices for over ten centuries. Its geometric patterns in green tones evoke the courtyards of the Alhambra in Granada and the Generalife.
What is zelije?
Zelije is a mosaic technique using glazed ceramic, hand-cut into small geometric pieces (tesserae) and assembled on a mortar base. Each piece is unique: the color, shine, and pattern vary slightly between units, guaranteeing its handcrafted authenticity.
